The Jewel of the Sonoma Plaza
Sonoma Hotel is a 16-room boutique hotel located directly on the Sonoma Plaza in downtown Sonoma, California. The building dates to 1880, originally built as a dry goods store, and has operated as a hotel since the 1920s, making it one of the most historic lodging options in the Sonoma Plaza National Historic Landmark district.
The hotel’s on-site restaurant, the girl & the fig, serves French-inspired California cuisine just steps from the lobby. Downtown Sonoma offers more than 15 additional restaurants and wine-tasting rooms within walking distance of the hotel, so guests can easily explore the Plaza’s dining and wine scene right outside our front door.
From here, Sonoma Valley’s wine-tasting rooms, restaurants, and the historic Sonoma Mission are at your fingertips, all without needing a car. Our prime location makes us a convenient home base for exploring Sonoma Valley and Carneros wineries, most of which are a short drive or rideshare away.
